"I don't give a damn."
Numberless people, on numberless occasions, in numberless ways, have told you they don't give a damn.
"Look, I don't give a damn!"
"Do I look like I give a damn?!"
"(Screaming) I don't f****ing give a damn!", and so on. You get the drift.
"I don't care, I don't give a damn", is one of those very carefree, thoughtless statements people make everyday, and so often.
And yes, I won't begin to split the hair about the statement now, because honestly, I don't give a damn about whatever the hell "I don't give a damn" means.
But, I do give a damn about people who make this statement so very often without giving a damn about what they aren't giving a damn for.
Unless you cheat, there are always two sides to a coin.
Manipulating the coin-tale to suit living beings and my agenda for writing this, whenever somebody "does not give a damn", the situation is akin to two people standing at the edge of a cliff.
Let me explain the cliff situation. When you stand at the 'edge of a cliff', all it would take for you to fall off it a little blow and whooosh, off you'll go. In a split second's passage of time, you'll be wavering mid- air like a plastic bag that drifts in the wind when it blows strongly...
Somebody will stand there, and peer over the edge looking at you falling down, dusting off his hands after having just poked you off the cliff.
So, the one who does not give a damn, pokes you, and you being at the receiving end of the statement ( and the poke), fall down.
But you know, falling down really isn't that bad.
While you are in that free fall, gravity does something magical to you and Realization, good realization occurs.
You think, why at all did you even come to the cliff with this person who didn't give a damn in the first place?!
But, how could you have known otherwise too?
Regret is nothing but a waste of time.
Perhaps you shouldn't have given a damn too.
What shit, you'd say. What is the point of such a realization now that you're mid-air and about to hit a rock?
I'll tell you what, there's every point in there, and in perfect place.
Think Superman !
Who knows there might be somebody standing just beneath you to catch you? What if he's got blue eyes and a killler smile ?! ;-)
Dual benefit, right?
In your hypothetical falling down, you get to:
One, find out who didn't give a flying fuck before pushing you down,
And two, find out who does give a damn ( look, he's saved you!),
AND, you get to experience a free of cast free-fall! (read realization!)
( That's actually three benefits.)
How then, is falling a bad thing?
What I really mean to say is, different people live their life for different reasons and in different ways.
For the genius who might wish to tell me that everybody needs food, water, clothes, shelter et cetera, I must point out, that's as primitive as life gets. Even animals need all that.
What really differentiates humans is what, well, what they give a damn about.
Life is what you make of it. Your life is your life. Yes, we've all heard all this sometime, somewhere.
But, how much did we listen?
Now let's pause for a moment. Close our eyes, open our minds, and THINK:
What is it that makes the 'life' everybody has, so different for each one of us?
Not the car we drive, not the clothes we wear.
Let me say it again - it's whether you stand at the bottom of the cliff with open arms, or you just aid somebody's free fall.
Remember, this world is a vicious circle. Justin Timberlake says What goes around comes all the way back around. So, the next time you decide you don't give a damn, just think of JT. And this post!

ok....got ur point. there are different ppl every where alisha,and ppl do have different experiences with each other. if u like a person and i don't then it is simply based on the experience that we have shared with that person. and seriously,i wont mind giving that person a push over the cliff,cz I DONT GIVE A DAN ABT THAT PERSON!!!
